Suprnova Dies, and Exeem Rises
Before I got grounded, I got very saddening news about my favorite bitorrent site, Suprnova.org got shut down by the MPAA most likely, and other law enforcement agencies. It was not a very good Christmas without suprnova. Other torrent sites have also gone down along with suprnova, and it seemed that bitorrent would never be the same. But you can never keep the p2p scene down. It seems that the people at suprnova are now working on their own p2p program, called Exeem that should decentralize the distribution of torrent files and make it harder to shut down trackers that host the files. As they put it, it should be a "decentralized BitTorrent network that basically makes everyone a Tracker. Individuals will share Torrents, and seed shared files to the network." There are rumors of money behind this program, and the authors are being very secretive about what is really going on. This program will sadly be adware, but if it works like it is described then I think it will be worth a few ads.
